5/25/10 - FERS Retirement TrainingGBFEB Names 2009 Scholarship WinnersEarlier this year, the Greater Boston Federal Executive Board launched its 5th annual scholarship program. Four one-time scholarships of $1000 each were presented in memory of local Federal employees who passed away over the last year.
The 2009 scholarships were named for:- Judge Reginald Lindsay, US District Court Boston
- Commander Keith Willis, US Coast Guard, Commanding Officer TAHOMA
- Pauline Abate, Ann Egan, Ron Greenwood and Cindy Nordengren from the IRS Andover Campus
- Former FEB Executive Director and Volpe National Transportation Systems Center employee Peter A. Manning.
Following an extensive review of several hundred applications, Chair Manuel J. Vaz formally announced the recipients at our Diversity Training last week. Please join me in congratulating them.
- MaryBeth Donlan, daughter of First Sergeant Dennis Donlan who works for the US Army at Hanscom
- Sean Flanagan, step-son of John Stanley from the US Coast Guard
- Tammy Ford, employee of the IRS Andover Campus
- Jessica Burgos, employee of Social Security Administration in Holyoke, MA

The GBFEB Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of every other month.
Diversity Committee Meetings Schedule through September 2010
Note that the Diversity Committee routinely meets, in person, on the first Thursday of every month from 9-10:30 a.m. Conference calls are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of each month. These are subject to change with advanced notice.
Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) Schedule through September 2010
The LFCC typically meets regularly on the first Monday of each month at 2 p.m. Changes are announced in advance.
